Whenever rights for mineral exploration, mineral prospecting and/or mining are acquired at the department of Mineral Resources, it is a requirement in terms of MINERAL AND PETROLEUM RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT ACT 28 OF 2002 that a plan showing the affected area must be prepared in accordance with regulation 42 of Mining Rights title’s act No.16 of 1967. In terms of regulation 42 (b) such plans must be certified, approved, signed and dated by a professional land surveyor.
